Abstract:
This research examines the interaction between linguistic and legal
objectives and their impact on the derivation of legal rulings. It highlights
the importance of the Arabic language in understanding religious texts, as it
is the linguistic vessel in which revelation was revealed and the primary
medium for comprehending its meanings and implications. The research also
clarifies the role of legal objectives in guiding legal reasoning in a way that
serves the goals and objectives of Islamic law. The study demonstrates that the
interaction between semantic understanding of texts and awareness of legal
objectives constitutes a fundamental pillar in the process of ijtihad
(independent reasoning). Through theoretical analysis and applied models, it
becomes clear that linguistic objectives are the primary entry point for
understanding religious texts and grasping their implications in their various
contexts. Meanwhile, legal objectives provide the methodological framework that
governs and directs the process of ijtihad towards achieving the objectives of
Islamic law. The research concludes with the importance of strengthening the
integration between linguistic and legal objectives in contemporary
jurisprudential methodologies to ensure a correct and balanced understanding of
religious texts. This integration can enhance the ability of jurists to address
important issues and enable them to... Deriving rulings that align with
societal needs contributes to establishing social justice for the common good.
