Abstract:

The current study aims to investigate the effectiveness of using the "Think-Pair-Share" strategy in developing certain teaching skills among biology students at the College of Education, Al-Zawiya, and to measure its impact. The study employed an experimental method with a pretest-posttest design for both experimental and control groups. The sample consisted of 50 students from the Biology Department, divided equally into two groups of 25 students each. Non-experimental variables such as age, socio-economic status, and instructor were controlled. A teaching skills observation checklist was applied to the participants in -up phases. pretest, posttest, and follow Appropriate statistical methods were used for data analysis via SPSS for Social Sciences. The study reached several key findings, including:There were statistically significant differences at the 0.05 level between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control group in the posttest observation checklist, in favor of the experimental group.There were statistically significant differences at the 0.05 level between the mean pretest and posttest scores of the experimental group in the observation checklist, favoring the posttest scores.There were no statistically significant differences at the 0.05 level between the posttest and follow-up scores of the experimental group in the observation checklist. These results indicate the effectiveness of the "Think-Pair-Share" strategy in enhancing the targeted teaching skills among the students.
