Studying the economic and environmental impacts of traffic congestion

 Abstract:

This study aims to identify the economic and environmental impacts of traffic congestion in the city of Sabratha. The researchers followed the descriptive analytical approach, and the study reached several results, the most important of which are: Traffic congestion negatively affects the economy. Congestion increases the value of your fuel consumption. Congestion leads to soil and water pollution by leaking oils and grease into the roads, and congestion affects human physical and psychological health. The study reached recommendations, including: implementing the electronic technical inspection system and not allowing technically worn out cars to drive on the roads, which results in direct environmental damage, and spreading the culture of noise and sound pollution and the resulting damage to human health and well-being.
