Converting kinetic energy from wind into electrical energy

This research aims to identify the concept, sources, and uses of wind energy, as well as to compare wind energy with other energy sources. A device for generating electricity using wind energy was designed in the electrical department of the Sabratha Vocational Secondary School, under the supervision of the physics department at the Faculty of Science in Sabratha. An electric lamp with a voltage of approximately 12 volts and a power of approximately 55-60 watts was operated using this device. The research recommends exploring the use of wind energy as a significant and cost-effective alternative. This can be achieved by involving specialists in fields such as geography and geology to identify the most suitable locations for wind turbines to maximize wind speed and determine appropriate soil conditions for foundations. The research also recommends studying the concept of converting wind energy into electricity and attempting to implement it practically. Furthermore, it encourages collaboration with developed countries in this field, leveraging their expertise based on principles of equality and mutual benefit. The research suggests attempting to implement this concept in the city of Sabratha, which is particularly well-suited due to its high wind speeds, especially in the coastal area.
